
Habitants
The habitants had done a lot of labour throught all the seasons. There was just always something different to do everytime the weather changed.
The habitants had to pay every Nov. 11 also known as St. Martins day and would work for about 3-4 days, they also had to pay for supply usage, the wine press, mill usage and they had to donate to church. If the tax was not paid they would lose the priviledge to live on the seigneury.
Engages are servants that have signed a 3 year contract with a seigneur to go to New France from France to work for the seigneur.

·Cut trees for firewood

Summer
·Plant hay for animals
·Grow crops and take them to the seigneur's mill to ground it into flour

Spring
·Fix or build fences
·Take animals to pasture
·Plant crops, fruits, and vegetables

Autumn
·Store the goods
·Stack the firewood
·Butcher some animals
·Prepare fields for the next years crops
